Everyone knows how hard it is to book tatkal tickets. Keeping in my mind the server issues and long waited queues, the Railway authorities have decided to revamp the tatkal booking system, which includes a change in timings as well as separate counters for tatkal bookings.
Starting July 10th, tatkal ticket sales will be available from 10:00 am instead of 8:00 am. Also, separate queues are meant to be implemented wherever possible.
A few other important changes would be, authorized agents, including IRCTC agents, will not be allowed to book tickets during the first two hours. These steps will surely prevent morning rush at ticket windows.
In addition to this, an official said that they’re planning to implement separate tatkal timings for each train in future.
Let’s see whether we can book tatkal tickets without any hassle from now onwards :)
